Towards the implementation of the 2020 Population Census (SP 2020), the Probolinggo Central Statistics Agency (BPS) continues to work together with the Probolinggo Regency Government to promote one of the national program agendas to the community.

This time the SP 2020 socialization targeted ASN (State Civil Apparatus) employees in the Probolinggo Regency Government. One of them was during the morning apple ceremony in the yard of the Probolinggo Regent's Office, Monday (02/10/2020).

In his direction the Probolinggo District Secretary (Sekda) H Soeparwiyono said that the 2020 Population Census was very important. One of them is the data from the Population Census will be the basis for formulating government policy in future development planning.

Therefore said Secretary Soeparwiyono, the participation of the entire community and all other supporting elements is the key to the successful implementation of the 2020 Population Census that will be held online.

Through the same opportunity, the Head of BPS of Probolinggo Regency, Bagus Sunggono, stated that the Population Census in 2020 is different from the previous population census, where the population census this time has two stages to be carried out.

"The first phase is an online population census using an android-based gadget, which will be held on February 15, 2020 until March 31, 2020. For the second stage, the population census is conducted using the interview method for one full month, namely in July 2020, "explained Bagus Sunggono.

Furthermore Bagus Sunggono said that the Population Census this time was shared property, noted Indonesia, an Indonesian population data.
