Abstract

Throughout 2022 the combined inflation of 8 cities is 6.52 percent. Inflation throughout 2022 is December 2022 Year on Year (yoy) or Year to Date (ytd) inflation. The combined inflation rate for 8 cities month to month (mtm) in December 2022 was 0.60 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 114, 25.
Inflation occurred due to price increases as indicated by increases in most of the expenditure group indices, namely: the food, beverage and tobacco group by 6.98 percent; the clothing and footwear group by 3.71 percent; the housing, water, electricity and household fuel group by 2.37 percent; equipment, equipment and household routine maintenance group of 5.26 percent; the health group by 3.93 percent; transportation group of 16.43 percent; recreation, sport and culture group by 2.50 percent; the education group by 5.07 percent; the group providing food and drink/restaurants by 8.99 percent; and the personal care and other services group of 6.57 percent. Meanwhile, the expenditure group that experienced a decrease in index was the information, communication and financial services group by 0.19 percent.
At the city level, the highest inflation in 2022 will be in Jember of 7.39 percent with a CPI of 115.65 and the lowest will be in Probolinggo of 5.45 percent with a CPI of 112.18.
The inflation rate throughout 2022 for the energy component is 18.19 percent, and mtm inflation is 0.08 percent.
The inflation rate throughout 2022 for the food component is 6.54 percent, and mtm inflation is 2.28 percent.
