Abstract

  • The East Java Farmer Exchange Rate (NTP) for April 2023 fell 0.14 percent from 106.82 to 106.66. The decrease in FTT was due to the price index received by farmers (It) which increased by 0.05 percent, which was lower than the price index paid by farmers (Ib), which increased by 0.19 percent.
  • In April 2023, one agricultural sub-sector experienced a decrease in NTP and four other sub-sectors experienced an increase in NTP. The sub-sector that experienced a decrease in NTP was the Hortculture sub-sector by 5.82 percent from 122.45 to 15.33. While the sub-sector that experienced the highest increase in NTP was the Livestock sub-sector by 0.95 percent from 101.32 to 102.29, followed by the Food Crops sub-sector by 0.63 percent from 107.15 to 107.82, the fisheries sub-sector by 0.53 percent from 100.25 to 100.78, and the People's Plantation Crops sub-sector by 0.12 percent from 101.50 to 101.63.
  • Of the five provinces on Java Island that carried out NTP calculations in April 2023, the Provinces of East Java and West Java experienced a decrease in NTP with a decrease of 0.14 percent and 0.87 percent, respectively. Meanwhile, other provinces experienced an increase with the largest increase in NTP occurring in the Special Region of Yogyakarta by 0.74 percent, followed by Central Java by 0.18 percent, and Banten by 0.16 percent.
