Abstract

The Gender Inequality Index (IKG) in 2023 was 0.479, down 0.006 points compared to 2022 which was 0.485. The decline in the Gender Inequality Index (IKG) is mainly influenced by improvement of the reproductive health dimension.
Improvement in the dimension of reproductive health is influenced by improvement in indicators women giving birth not in health facilities which is down from 11.0 percent a year 2022 to 9.3 percent in 2023, as well as the indicator of women giving birth to children.
The first live birth was < 20 years old, down from 50.4 percent in 2022 to 48.7 percent in 2023.
The improvement in the empowerment dimension is influenced by the improvement of the percentage indicator women 25 years and older who have a high school education and above, which has increased from 16.70 percent in 2022 to 17.79 percent in 2023.
