Abstract

East Java Economy Quarter III-2024 as measured by Domestic Product Gross Regional (GDP) on the basis of prevailing prices reached Rp808.53 trillion, while GDP on the basis of constant prices in 2010 reached Rp492.43 trillion.

East Java's economy in the third quarter of 2024 compared to the second quarter of 2024 experienced growth by 1.72 percent (q-to-q). In terms of production, the highest growth occurred in The Electricity and Gas Procurement Business Field grew by 8.24 percent. From the side expenditure, the highest growth occurred in the Export Component of Goods and Services which grew by 4.62 percent.

East Java's economy in the third quarter of 2024 compared to the third quarter of 2023 increased by 4.91 percent (y-on-y). In terms of production, the highest growth occurred in the field Growing Government, Defense and Compulsory Social Security Administration Efforts by 9.85 percent. In terms of expenditure, the highest growth occurred in Components Consumption Expenditure of Non-Profit Institutions Serving Households (PK-LNPRT) which grew by 10.95 percent.

Until the third quarter of 2024, the East Java economy experienced a growth of 4.90 percent occurred in the Transportation and Warehousing business field of 10.39 percent. Meanwhile, in terms of spending, the largest growth occurred in components Non-Profit Institutions by 13.58 percent.

Structurally, the Processing Industry Business Field dominates the economic structure East Java in the third quarter of 2024 with a contribution of 30.54 percent, while In terms of expenditure, it is dominated by the Household Consumption Expenditure Component (PK-RT) with a contribution of 59.78 percent.
